Kochkor

Kochkor is a town of shepherds located in Naryn oblast 200 km from Bishkek. It is located at 1800m. alt. The city has 17,000 residents. Most of them are shepherds or farmers. With the Kyrgyz hospitality, tourism is an increasingly important for economy. It is a starting point to reach the sights as Lake Song Kul, Sarala-Saz pastures, Lake Koelykoek, the salt mine Chong Tuz, and also the crossroads between Issyk Kul lake and City Naryn. Places for visiting: the women cooperative "Kochkor Kutu" which develops Kyrgyz crafts.

Kegety gorge

Nearly 60km south-east of Bishkek, the Kegeti valley lies between that of Issyk Ata and that of Shamshi. There is a pass that crosses the Kyrgyz Alatoo mountain range, and leads to the Kochkor valley.

Kashka Suu canyon

Some 20km south of Bishkek, the Kashka-Suu valley, whose river is influential to that of Ala Archa. The largest number of ski resorts can be found there, including Polytech, Kashka-Suu, Ak-Tash, Ortussay, Edelweiss, etc.
The landscape is breathtaking, a mixture of pasture and red sandstone canyon.

Inylchek glacier

The Inylchek Glacier is the largest glacier in the Tien Shan, lying on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, in the upper reaches of the Inylchek River. It is located in the most inaccessible part of the Central Tien Shan - the Khan Tengri massif located to the east of the huge Issyk-Kul lake. The glacier stretches for 60.5 km, and the total glacier area exceeds 657 km². The thickness of the ice cover in the lower parts of Inylchek reaches 150-200 m, so the ice giant stores huge reserves of fresh water.

Ishtik pass

A road pass that allows you to reach the Karasay valley to that of Baralbas. Formerly a Silk Road passed there to join the Bedel Pass on the Chinese border, and the Chinese city of Aksu.

Chychkan gorge

A 50 km gorge located north of Toktogul town on the M41 road. We stop there to eat trout or buy honey. The upper part is covered with meadow, while the lower part of the gorge is more humid and covered with deciduous and fir trees.

Chunkurchak gorge

The Chunkurchak Gorge is located 45 km south of the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek. A unique landscape, a mixture of pastures and red sandstone rocks, at the foot of the highest glaciers of the Kyrgyz Alatoo mountain range. It is a recreational place where you can find several mountain hotels, as well as a ski resort.

Eco-center Znaky

The recreation center "Znaki" is located on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul - even more environmentally friendly than the northern one - and is in direct proximity to gorges and waterfalls. This is a space where everyone can find the opportunity to meet themselves, where you can completely escape from everyday life: walk barefoot, free yourself from the conventions imposed by the world, restore your energy, gain a charge of strength and vigor and breathe deeply again.

Karatal-Japyryk reserve

The Karatal-Japyryk Nature Reserve was established in 1994 and has a total area of 190.3 km². The reserve is somewhat unusual among the protected areas of Kyrgyzstan in that it consists of three non-contiguous sections geographically very isolated from each other.

Cultural Center “Ruh Ordo”

«Rukh Ordo» is a unique open-air museum on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Cholpon-Ata.

The complex includes 10 mini museums: the «Aitmatov’s museum house», the «Kyrgyz art and culture Hall», the picture and photo galleries, «Sayakbay Karalayev's arbor», the «Knowledge Treasure trove» and five chapels, each of them represents one of the world's confessions , namely: Islam, Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Buddhism and Judaism, as a symbol of the fact that God is one for all.
