Arpa valley

To the south of the Djaman-Too mountain chain, is the upper valley of Arpa, which stretches for about sixty kilometers, and up to 25km in width. It is mainly yak breeders who come for the summer season. To get there, you must have a border zone permit.

Ak-Sai valley

South of the At-Bashi mountain range, lies the upper Ak-Say valley, which stretches for a hundred kilometers, and up to 40 km in width. It is mainly yak breeders who come for the summer season. Some shepherds stay in the winter with their herd of yaks, but the temperatures are harsh and can drop to -40 degrees Celsius in winter.

Ala-Archa national park

The state natural Ala-Archa park — Kyrgyzstan of 2280 hectares, located in 41 km from Bishkek on a northern slope of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too at the height of 1600-4860 m. Begins with the high center of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too and stretches to the North to the Ala-Archinsky gorge

Landscapes of foothill steppes and the mountain woods where more than 600 species of the higher plants, including 70 species of trees and bushes, about 50 species of herbs grow, there are a lot of melliferous herbs and tannic plants.

Boom gorge

The main main road connects the Oblast of Chuy and that of Issyk Kul by a canyon 40 km long. But this passage was only opened during the expedition led by explorer Pyotr Semionov-Tian-Chanski in 1857. The colors of the rocks are incredible. You can visit several small canyons with red rocks like the Creek canyon.

Chaek

Chaek is the administrative center of the rayon of Jumgal. Its bazar is now replaced by many small shop on the border of the main street. 

Chatkal valley

The Chatkal valley follows the mountain chain of the same name, to the north-west of this chain, over a length of 160km before flowing into the Charvak dam in Uzbekistan. By road, there are only 2 accesses, either by Talas to the north and the Kara-Bura Ashuu pass located at 3302m. alt .; or from the south, via the Chapchyma Ashuu pass 2841m. alt. when arriving from the town of Kerben.

The capital is the village of Kanysh-Kyya, and the lower part of the valley is in the Besh-Aral nature reserve.

Chatyr-Kul lake

Chatyr-Kul lake is an endorheic lake on the south-western side of the At-Bashi  range in the district of Naryn Province. On the south, the road linking Bishkek to Kashgar runs alongside the lake and exceptional mineral water sources. But it is above all the summer habitat of many species of migratory birds. The name of the lake means “Celestial Lake” in Kyrgyz (literally "Roof Lake"). The lake and around it is part of the Karatal-Japyryk State Nature Reserve. The lake is a Ramsar site of globally significant biodiversity.
