Bokonbaeva

Bokonbaevo is the most important agglomeration on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. This place is not only famous for its beauty, but it is also a center of eco-tourism. The village is located 160 km from Karakol and 280 km from Bishkek. Tourists come here to experience the nomadic life of the Kyrgyz people, the fresh and pure mountain air and for the splendor of Issyk-Kul lake.

Alamedin gorge

The Alamedin valley is one of the 2 valleys supplying water to the city of Bishkek. It lies to the east of the Ala Archa valley. It is very popular and owes its development during the Soviet era with the construction of a sanatorium around the mineral hot springs. The valley attracts many walkers, picnickers but also mountaineers because it is surrounded by the highest peaks of Kyrgyz Alatoo, such as the Simeon Tienshansky peak 4875m. alt. and the Alamedin Wall culminated by the Kyrgyzstan peak at 4840 meters.

Koshoy-Korgon ancient fortress

Koshoi-Korgon is a fortress located in the center of the At-Bashy Valley. It was strategically located on the Silk Road between Kashgar and the Naryn region in Kyrgyzstan.

The city is rectangular in shape from 245 to 250 m. The height of the preserved walls is 4 to 8 m.

There are 60 towers around the perimeter: 19 in the north, 13 in the south, 17 in the east and 11 in the west. The walls and towers are made of large blocks of clay and long bricks. The wall is 7 to 9 m thick on the ground and 3 to 4 m in height.

Besh-Aral nature reserve

The reserve of Besh-Aral is situated on the bottom of the Chatkal river, on the border with Uzbekistan. It's a part of an wide Chatkal park, which cover a also the Uzbek territory (Chatkal State biosphere reserve 35'724 ha). The reserve of 63'200 ha was established in 1979 and covers an altitude difference from 1000 to 4000 m. The reserve counts more than 15 various ecosystem with relatively high level of biodiversity. There are 1500 species of higher plants, 46 species of mammals, 150 species of birds, 10 species of reptiles and of amphibia.

Chong Kemin National Park

This park encompasses the entire Chong Kemin Valley. There are many trails still virgin or almost. Several passes between Issyk Kul Lake or Kitchi Kemin Valley.

The total area is 126,514 hectares. Here in the park the river Chon Kemin flows. More than 780 species of plants grow and rare mammals such as snow leopard, brown bear, maral, Eurasian lynx, golden eagle, himalayan griffon vulture (Gyps himalayensis),  bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus), saker falcon and sablefly are found.

Chokoly lakes

Chokoly lakes or Chokolykel are a group of a dozen of lakes on the South side of the Juku pass. Only the big lake on the east side have a river flowing into the Arabel Suu river. The largest lake is about 3km long.

Besh-Tash national park

Le parc national de Besh-Tash se trouve dans la vallée de Talas au sud de sa capitale Talas. Inauguré en 1996 afin de préserver les biotopes uniques et la diversité biologique du nord-ouest du Kirghizistan. Dans le parc il y a plus de 800 espèces de plantes, dont environ 28 arbres et arbustes. On y trouve les animaux et les oiseaux suivants : Chevreuil, le renard, la martre, l'hermine, la perdrix bartavelle, le léopard des neiges, lynx Turkestan, Kumai, faucon sacré, vautour barbu (Gypaethe) et autres.
