Historical museum of Orgochor

The museum of Orgochor is situated on the road between Jeti Oguz and Kyzyl Suu. Most archeological discoveries of the region can be found in this museum. 

The Entrance fee is 30 soms. The personal is friendly but speaks only in Russian or in Kyrgyz. 

Explanations are written only in Kyrgyz, so better to visit the museum with a guide interpreter.

Gumbez Balchak

Ruins of ancient Gumbez is the only memory in the valley of Djuuku gorge. If you look around it’s hard to believe that long time ago a lot of things were going on here.  According to the history this gumbez belonged to one rich man called Balchak. Balchak was famous and powerful leader since he owned nomadic tribes in Yssyk-Kul , Kashgar and Central Tian Shan. Balchak built has gumbez in all regions where he owned nomads.    Gumbez in Djuuku was built by Kashgarian masters.

Kara-Balta

Kara-Balta is located 62 km from Bishkek.

The city has a rich history. She was called Shish-Debe, Shish-Tepe. But the best known of names is Nuzket. Kara-Balta (Nuzket) was one of the most important centers on the Silk Road and the largest industrial crossroads in the Chui region. The town was an important medieval village. Travelers could spend the night here, protect themselves from thieves, sell or trade goods with profit. And the goods that were produced here, went to distant lands on the Silk Road. The town has become a link between mountains and plains.

Navekat

The ancient city of Navekat.

It is located 36 km east of Bishkek. Here the ruins of the ancient city Navekat (New Town), one of the cities on the Silk Road, have been preserved. Navekat was founded in the 6th century and was a trading center of the ancient Turkish khanates. The northern branch of the Silk Road passed here. It flourished from the 6th to the 12th century.

The city of Navekat has a citadel, two Shahristan ("city" in Arabic) and a suburb.

Ak-Beshim

Ak- Beshim.

Les ruines de la cité antique Ak-Beshim se trouvent au sud de la ville Tokmok, près du village Ak-Beshim (du Kirghize qui veut dire « le midi blanc »).

Ak-Beshim etait l'une des principales villes sur la Route de la Soie. Elle était un des centres commerciaux de la vallée de Chu.

La ville a été construite en 4 phases, à partir du 5-6 siѐcle.

Isfana Airport

Isfana Airport started its operations in the 1940s as a landing strip near the town of Isfana, in Leylek district of the Batken Oblast. After Kalacha Airport, serving the coal mining town of Sulukta (16 km north of Isfana), was closed, Isfana Airport started serving Sulukta residents as well. The current runway and terminal were built in 1974. In the Soviet years, it received aircraft such as Yak-40, An-2, An-26, An-28, BAE-146-200 and helicopters of all types. It is a regional class 3C airport.

Ak-Kel lake

Lost lake in a remoted region of the Naryn Oblast. Situated in the west part of the Moldo Too range and Song Kul's lake. The lake is in so remoted region, that the water is full of fishes. The road start from Aral, in the Jumgal district, or from the village of Kyzyl Korgon.
